In September of 2005, Yorkshire Forward asked the public a second time for their views on the latest version of the Regional Economic Strategy which guides the redevelopment and regeneration of the Yorkshire and Humber. The YHACS responded enthusiastically, praising the redevelopment agency for its ambitious aims in the Strategy, but developing a constructive criticism of its approach. In particular, the YHACS would advocate a greater role for the community in the regeneration of the region's economy, especially with respect to urban renaissance.
