YHACS looks to the future at Doncaster

Posted on 31 July 2016 by Peter Cooper

YHACS held its spring main meeting at Doncaster's Mansion House on April 9th 2016. We were welcomed by the Mayor of Doncaster, Councillor Paul Wray and John Holmes of Doncaster Civic Trust. Doncaster Civic Trust made a presentation on Doncaster Civic Trust's educational programme. This was followed by our chairman, Kevin Trickett, who talked about 'Scanning the Far Horizon - A Technique for Plotting the Future'. In an entertaining and often humourous presentation, Kevin advocated horizon scanning for societies so that they could plan for change.

Peter Cooper, president of YHACS gave an update on civic society initiatives in Yorkshire towns and cities and the meeting concluded with a presentation by Clive Woods of Aireborough CS who drew attention to issues surrounding Spenfield House in Weetwood, north Leeds.
